I did want to thank you and your staff for your intense training program and support this summer for Brooke. I watched her play in the All State game last night, and I was amazed. Her strength, speed, and self confidence were the best I have seen. She said she feels stronger and more fit than she has ever felt. It was the first game since her ACL injury, a year and a half ago, that I have not “worried” while she was on the field. She will be returning to Max Performance!
Phil – we just wanted to express our thanks to you and the rest of the Max Performance staff for the great summer training you provided to Michelle. We know how intense (and painful!) your workouts are, but Joe and I can see that she has definitely become stronger, faster and more conditioned. Most importantly all of us, including Michelle, know that your program increases her chances to stay healthy and injury-free while competing at high level.
Again, thank you for everything, and we’ll see you after the fall club season!
My name is Ryan Reser and I am a 2008 Olympian in the sport of Judo. I highly recommend Aaron Knutson and Phil Tognetti at Max Performance. From 2006 to 2008, I utilized the staff at Max Performance to push my cardio and strength development to the limits and beyond. Their passion for working with athletes and creative thinking helped me to reach performance goals that I was unable to reach in the past. One of the greatest benefits was the sport-specific training that I received during my sessions at Max. Prior to training with these guys, I came up short twice and was an Olympic alternate in 2000 and 2004. There was something missing in my training regimen and it needed to be revamped. There is no doubt in my mind that training at Max directly resulted in making the 2008 Olympic team. If you are a serious athlete in need of performance development and are looking for a company that you can trust and will produce results, then I urge you to go see Aaron and Phil at Max Performance.
Patrick Merrigan came to Max Performance during the summer of 2008. He had just finished his high school career at Lewis-Palmer and was looking to improve his performance for the next level. With six weeks before he had to leave for his freshman year of college, Pat was looking to improve his strength, speed, and agility in hopes of walking on to the Dickinson College baseball team. He showed up to every workout ready to work hard and left knowing that he had pushed himself to the fullest that day. After leaving Colorado Springs for Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Pat spent the fall working out and practicing with the Dickinson team. When fall workouts were completed, Pat had earned a spot on the Dickinson roster.
“Working with Phil and Aaron at Max Performance is one of the greatest gifts we have given Trevor. He has learned that hard work and perseverance is the only way to achieve goals. Being in top shape has helped him to keep his body injury free and his brain focused on his approach to his game. We plan to keep Trevor with Phil and Aaron all the way through high school.”
“This program made me stronger, both mentally and physically. Phil pushes you to the limit, but you get so much more out of it than you would doing it by yourself. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is serious about strength and conditioning.”
“It was intense, but a fantastic after-burn. One of the best workouts in my life. You maximize your strengths and really improve your weaknesses.”
“Attending Max Performance made a huge improvement with my speed. Within a couple weeks, I noticed that I was running the correct way and quicker. All the sweat, sore muscles, and heavy breathing was worth every second of it! Thanks Max Performance for making me a faster and stronger athlete!”
“Max Performance developed a pre-season and in-season training program designed specifically to complement our team practices and the other training opportunities currently available at our high school. With up to sixteen players working out at the same time under close supervision of the professionals at Max Performance, our players not only worked to their strengths, but also came to understand areas of needed improvement in performance not typically found at other gyms or weight rooms. The training was specific to the needs of the individual and for the sport itself. It became a great team building experience and our players’ improved performance on the field is certainly attributable in part to their preparation work at Max Performance.”
“Our interest in Max Performance began as a tool for our oldest son. His fascination with competitive sports from a very young age has kept our family at a run. We wanted to all Austin to participate in everything he was interested in. Yet, we were both aware of the possibility of injuries at a young age that could have long lasting impact.
“Our experience over the last two years with this program: injury prevention, core strength, the ability to compete at quality levels, and increased confidence.
“Phil and the staff at Max Performance are professionals, they are tough, they are knowledgable, and they educate not only the athlete but also the parents. This has allowed Austin not only to compete at his highest potential, but to stay healthy while competing.
“This progam has educated our family, and has been a positive experience all the way around. The knowledge we have gained will keep our younger sons healthy as well.”
“Thanks for getting Logan to his top performance level to start the baseball season. It paid off for him. He led the freshman team to a 13-2-1 record setting season. Along the way, he broke 5 freshman records including RBI’s, Stolen Bases, and Triples. He also Lettered at the Varsity level using his quickness and speed as a PR or CR. He also started 3 games. He was only the third Freshman to Letter in the last 9 years.”
“I started working with Aaron and Phil between my Freshman and Sophomore years in High School. My basketball club utilized their speed and agility clinic. Aaron noticed that some of my movements caused pain in my lower legs. He pushed to find out why. I was diagnosed with Medial Tibial Stess Syndrome and immediately started physical therapy and rehab with them. The therapy, rehab, and specialized workouts with Aaron and Phil pushed me to new levels in basketball, volleyball, and tennis. Although basketball is my love, I was recruited to play all three sports in college. I will be playing both basketball and tennis at the collegiate level in the 2011-2014 school years. The help and support that I received from Aaron, Phil, and the staff at Max Performance helped me to reach my goal of playing sports at the collegiate level.”
“Phil and Aaron did a phenominal job with my Fall Baseball Program. They worked our boys as hard as any program I’ve seen and everything was baseball specific. Max Performance really understands the importance of baseball specific training and the results were incredible. I would recommend Max Performance for baseball teams of all ages.”
