Protein is always a hot topic among athletes. As well it should be, considering the important benefits it can have in enhancing one’s performance. Even non-athletes who train consistently should have an interest in the importance of protein. So, how much protein should be consumed per day?

What does it take to be running full speed straight ahead, and then without hesitation, stop on a dime and change direction? Agility, coordination, strength, stabilization, balance? All of these? Ahh yes, the warm-up. Stretching, jogging, a few trunk rotations, nothing at all. What are we trying to accomplish pre-workout or pre-competition? Before the beginning of any athletic endeavor, an athlete must prepare his or her body to handle the task at hand.
